This item is a good wooden box lined with felt. It can be used as a container for chess pieces or jewelry. I intend to use it as a keepsake box for small sentimental items. The box arrived within one week.

I am an author and used this box as a "presentation box" for one of my books. I had the title of the book "The Secret Child" engraved on a brass plaque and affixed to the top of the box. It looked GREAT! The size and design of the box was perfect for my use, and the price made it possible for me to do this. I do wish the box had been built a little bit sturdier -- but the finishing, hinges, and clasp, all looked high quality. I would use this box again. When researching other boxes, they were either much more expensive or much smaller. I feel I got my money's worth. - Marti Healy, Aiken, SC

Pros:
- It's a box!
- Size are accurate
- Decent construction, mitered edges
Cons:
- Felt in the bottom is cheap
- Box smells a little of stain, airing it out now
- Color slightly less saturated than the photo suggests
