The tiles have rough edges and some of the numbers are faint or bled into the wood grain. I would not have bought them if I knew what they were like.

These are the only pieces that I have ever found for the Sudoku board and the pieces fit perfectly, but are not the same quality as the original pieces.
These pieces feel like balsa wood, while the original pieces are of some denser material.
Also, the numbers appear to have been put on with a rubber stamp.
However, if you want additional pieces for the Sudoku board, you may be stuck with these or nothing.

After reading many other reviews on several Sudoku boards, I gathered that it would be a good idea to purchase the set of additional mini tiles. Other people say that the boards do not come with enough "thinking tiles". Personally, I do not play Sudoku, so I wouldn't know if it is enough or not, but I figured I can't go wrong with such a low price on the additional "thinking tiles". I purchased the board and additional tiles as a gift for my mom, and I know she will love this as she is an avid Sudoku player. I noticed other reviews of the thinking tiles complained they were not of the greatest quality, but I don't see a problem. Numbers seem dark and stand out well (not faded, or barely stamped). I don't see where there's any roughness on the wood. Overall, I'm glad I bought them, and my mom can decide if she needs to use them when she plays.

As others have mentioned, these are not the prettiest pieces to go with the full board game. Because of review I read, I delayed buying these for about 3 months. I spent several hours on the internet and could not find anything premade or custom that was at a reasonable price. Reasonable not being $.25 to $1.00. I even researched buying wood stock, cutting it to size and printing up my own decals. The easiest was just to buy these pieces. Without them, the game is basically unplayable with the one set of thinking pieces that come in the original set. The numbers are larger than the original set and appear to be burned in with some woodworking tool. They rate a three because they are helpfull if not pretty.
