Great chess set!Oct 30, 2010

My kids have enjoyed this game a great deal over the past year and it gets very heavy use. The size of the pieces are great, and the weighting is very good. We were looking for a reasonably priced set and this one is perfect!
After about 9 months of significant usage, the weightings have fallen out of a couple pieces. They are pretty easy to put back in place with a little glue, so not much trouble in my opinion especially when I think about how much abuse our set gets. I would definitely recommend this chess set to anyone who is looking for a good price/benefit ratio.

This is a very good chess set. I have played many games with it and have drop a piece one or twice and they did not break or chip. I recommend this set you will not be disappointed.

Placed the order, timely UPS shipment with tracking option to see its journey from AZ to Arkansas.
Just the right weight to give a sense of purpose when you move the pieces across the board for the duel with your opponent.
Clear Design of pieces with extra Queen for the successful who get their lowly Pawn across the fight area.
My friends love to play with these pieces for our games.
Pleased with my purchase.

I had previously purchased a cheaper $25 tournament style chess set, that even though wasn't bad, it didn't compare to the quality of this Deluxe Chess set. I noticed right away when I handled the pieces and how much heavier and better constructed they were. I like the fact that it helps flatten out the seemingly heavier canvass board unlike the less weightier chess pieces will do. The quality of the set is definitely obvious and would highly recommend spending the extra $20 for this set instead of a cheaper one.

This set is exactly what a tournament player needs. Good feel and nicely sized pieces. The bag is fine for its purpose and I've had no problems with the zipper. Triple-weighted is definitely the way to go. Complete with a pair of extra queens.
Had a slight problem with a piece damaged in shipping. The seller replaced the piece promptly and without hassle. Having said this, I feel the pieces are sturdy and not prone to breaking -I was just unlucky. Service was great, though.
