This is a sturdy roll-up mat that is perfect for those without the space for a permanently displayed hardwood board. It also makes a great travel mat; I've packed it into luggage several times and it's no worse for wear.

Have this set up in my bedroom - it is a tournament chess piece that goes along nicely with the pieces. I have now mastered the game after 40 years of play and challenge any one to beat me. (None have) Have gone to tournaments and studied Bobby Fischer and this I log around whenever I find a challenge - nice.

I have never owned a roll-up chess board before. I really love this one. I can just roll it up and put in a drawer or carry it in my backpack. I just started using it and therefore does not know yet about durability. Will update this review regarding durability in another year or so
