I purchased this item as a 50th Birthday gift for my husband. He loves the Chess Set. It is beautiful. However it arrived with a scratch on the board.The scratch can not be buffed out. The Chess Set was well packaged and I'm sure it was scratched BEFORE it was sent.(I believe it slipped through quality control)I feel with the amount of money it cost it should NOT be scratched. I haven't decided whether to send it back or not just yet as my husband doesn't want to be without it if it is a lengthy process. Without the scratch I would rate this Chess Set "Top Notch".
