High Quality, with Everything Included, and Priced RightJun 01, 2009

I bought the Wood Expressions Camphor Chess/Checkers Set for my son as a college graduation gift. He (and I) enjoy the game, and we both like playing on a good quality wood set. I have one that I got as a kid from my dad, and I wanted to do the same for him.
This one is well made, is all wood, inlaid (not painted squares), has drawers on each side, with felt covered compartments for each piece. It comes with all the chess pieces (wood), and also with checkers pieces (also wood). The chess pieces are slightly weighted, and have a good weight and feel to them, and the pieces are easy to recognize (some sets are carved too fancy, it's hard to tell what certain pieces are).

This was a Christmas present for my grandkids. There was a gap between purchase price and the time the kids acutally opened it up and played with it. It was missing the chess pieces. I contacted the company asking if they could send just the pieces instead of shipping the whole thing back and getting a new set. I was extremely pleased to see them do just that. They choose the most effiecient way to solve the problem. This company more than lived up to my expectations. The chess/checkers set is a beautiful and sturdy set. My grandkids will play with it for many years to come.

I purchased the chess set for a family member, and am very pleased with the quality. The woodwork was well done, the chess and checker pieces were well carved and fit perfectly in the storage drawer.
